9 Clouds U. Interns
July 1, 2011
Here at 9 Clouds U. we were presented with an exciting opportunity to design the advertisements for Frontier Bank’s annual summer picnic. Our designers, Marc Wagner and Hunter Murphy, got busy designing their own posters, fliers and handouts. Take a look at their artwork below and let us know your favorite!
Marc Wagner: Marc focused on the “Summer Fun” picnic theme. He listened to 60’s surf rock for a lil’ summer inspiration as he designed. Check out those Ray Bans!

Hunter Murphy: Since Frontier Bank is celebrating their 80th anniversary, Hunter found inspiration through 80’s artwork. This just makes me want to break out my high-tops and Zubaz. Hunter’s work reminds Marc and I of ‘Saved by the Bell!’

Keep an eye out around town, or stay tuned in to 9 Clouds U, to see which designer’s work was chosen!
Happy Friday,
Amy Thorne
Here at the 9 Clouds Headquarters, we are kicking off a brand-new summer with three newfound interns! Over the next twelve weeks, our interns will work collectively on an exciting business adventure as well as individual 9 Clouds projects. This morning we started out in the 9 Clouds office with an intense brainstorming session. This session although brief was filled with ideas. We discussed homecoming shirts, newsletters, website possibilities, stickers, business cards, posters, buttons, coupons, wholesale pricing for vendors, bands being sponsored by Moose Friendly, and putting the Moose on a race car.
After the intense brainstorming session we started working on an affordable way to reach out to everyone who buys a Moose Friendly shirt. John Meyer, Chief Creative Officer of 9 Clouds, Inc., suggested that we use a service called MailChimp. MailChimp is a cheap and easy way to keep others informed via email. We now have a tab to sign up to receive promotions and updates on our Facebook page.
We decided that once we got the newsletters figured out that we wanted to look into promotional items to help spread the Moose Friendly name. We decided to get some stickers from Storenvy. We’re going to send a free sticker with every purchase! They are pretty sweet looking. But you’ll have to order a shirt to see one. (Stickers will begin shipping middle of August.)
Once we had that all figured out we turned to the website. Evan has been working his tail off working on this design. It is going to be simple and fitting to the Moose Friendly way of life. Hate to give away any details but I can tell you that it’s going to be awesome!
Stay tuned to 9 Clouds U for the latest information regarding our start up business Moose Friendly.
Have a Friendly Moose day,
Travis K.

The first day of class at 9 Clouds U was a very productive one. We started the day with introductions and a brainstorming session. Blake already had some great ideas in place, but we all knew we could make them better. After day one of class we had created a Storenvy page, contacted several printers in Sioux Falls about prices to print our designs, developed a Facebook welcome page and even started work on a Moose Friendly website. Overall day one was a success.
